Each class is scheduled to begin at 12:30 PM and runs for approximately 45 minutes. Chair yoga is a more gentle form of yoga that is practiced either sitting on a chair or standing and using the chair for support. No equipment or special clothing is required and beginners are always welcome. This program is free and open to all members of the general public.
The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library is a non-profit organization devoted to fundraising efforts and providing other support on behalf of the library. A portion of the funds raised by the Friends has been allocated toward the cost of paying the professional instructor who conducts the weekly chair yoga class.
