The Springfield Free Public Library is pleased to present cellist Randy Calistri-Yeh in a solo cello performance of classical, ethnic and big band favorites at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 14 in the library’s Donald Palmer Museum.
The program will also include the fascinating stories behind the music to be performed. In addition to performing as a soloist, Calistri-Yeh is the principal cellist of the Livingston Symphony Orchestra and one half of the Synergismus Duo, along with his wife Millie. He also runs Custom Chamber Music, an online company that produces customized arrangements of classical music for any combination of instruments. When not playing the cello, Calistri-Yeh, who holds a PhD in computer science, can be found working in the field of artificial intelligence personalization systems.
