How to Help Your Loved One with a Behavioral Health Issue

In partnership with the Mental Health Association of New Jersey, the Springfield Free Public Library will offer a program, “How to Help a Loved One with a Behavioral Health Issue,” at 7:00 PM on Monday, April 22.

Specific topics of discussion will include how to talk with a loved one regarding your concerns, how to find treatment for your loved one, and reaching out for help for yourself through family support groups. Presenters will include Marilyn Feliciano, Public Educator with the Mental Health Association of New Jersey and Sara Thode, the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of MHANJ. The Mental Health Association of New Jersey was established 75 years ago; according to its mission statement, the organization “strives for mental health for children and adults through advocacy, education, training and service.” More information about the organization can be found at mhanj.org.
