The (Really Good!) Book Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, November 7 at 7 p.m. to discuss To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf.
Woolf's 1927 novel centers on the Ramsay family and their visits to the Isle of Skye in Scotland between 1910 and 1920. Following in the tradition of modernist novels, the plot of this book is secondary to its philosophical introspection. To the Lighthouse delves into the minds of its characters in a stream of consciousness approach. Woolf shifts the point of view from person to person, and she develops her characters through their thoughts, memories and reactions to each other.
