The Springfield Free Public Library is seeking writers, readers, and publishing professionals from Springfield and neighboring communities to participate in the library’s third annual “Indie Author Day,” on Saturday, October 12.
Established in 2016, Indie Author Day was initially celebrated in libraries in 46 states and four Canadian provinces. To date, only three other locations in New Jersey have signed on to participate for 2019.
The library is looking for writers of both fiction and non-fiction who would be willing to share their experiences with interested members of the general public. Members of the publishing profession are also invited to sign up to offer their perspective.
A planning session for this year’s event has been scheduled to take place at the library at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21. Participation in the planning session is not required for participation in the October 12 event.
Registration is not required for the August 21 planning session.
