The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library is again hosting their popular Antiques Appraisal Night on Monday, October 30th at the library, 66 Mountain Ave., in Springfield from 6:45-8:45 pm. Mr. Ken Jakupko, of Ken’s Antiques, Summit Antiques Center returns to give his appraisals. He has over 35 years of experience as an antique dealer.
This program will take place in the Donald Palmer Museum of the Library. Due to time restrictions, participation is limited to fifty people. Each participant is welcome to bring two items for appraisal and each item should be labeled with your name. This program is free to patrons, however, donations are appreciated. Participants should arrive as close to 6:45 as possible so that their items can be placed properly on display before Mr. Jakupko begins his examination of all the participant’s items.
Over the years, a wide range of interesting items have been brought in for Mr. Jakupko’s informed comments and appraisal, based on his extensive experience. It is a fun and educational evening even if you don’t bring any items of your own. Come just to listen and learn.
